Health testing is valuable because it replaces vague reassurance with information. It cannot guarantee a dog will never develop a problem — but it helps breeders make more informed decisions and helps families ask better questions.
Breed-relevant screening
The Cane Corso Association of America currently lists hip, elbow, cardiac and patellar evaluations plus DNA results for Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis and Dental-Skeletal-Retinal Anomaly in its CHIC guidance. We confirm current parent-club and OFA requirements before every update, because protocols can change.
A CHIC number ≠ “perfect results”
A CHIC number means the breed’s required tests were completed and released publicly — not that every result was normal. We show the actual result, date and evaluator rather than a badge without context.
Results by dog

Testing has limits
Health is influenced by genetics, development, environment, nutrition, injury and chance. We use testing to reduce uncertainty, not to promise certainty — and every family should establish care with its own veterinarian.

Request certificates, ask why a pairing was chosen, and read the 26-month health guarantee. Thoughtful questions are part of responsible placement.
